Dr. Majid Alawi

General Dentist

Time to look at the whole jaw, and honesty about what a night guard can do.

Dr. Majid Alawi is a general dentist who gives extra visit time to jaw pain, clenching and worn teeth. He examines the joints and muscles, looks at how your teeth meet, and explains what he finds without guessing at causes outside the mouth.

When a night guard makes sense, he explains how it works and what to watch for. When your symptoms may come from somewhere else, he refers you to a physician, a physical therapist or an orofacial pain dentist and sends his notes along.

Looking Before Treating

A jaw visit starts with questions about when it hurts, what you notice and what you have already tried. Dr. Alawi examines before he suggests anything, and he tells you plainly what a night guard can and cannot do.

Areas of Focus

  • Jaw Joint and Muscle Exam

A careful look at the joints, the muscles around them and how your jaw moves.

  • Night Guards

Custom guards for clenching or grinding, with follow-up adjustments.

  • Tooth Wear Review

A look at where your teeth are wearing and what may be behind it.

  • Referrals
