Dr. Emely Salas

General Dentist

Screening and appliances, in step with your physician.

Dr. Emely Salas is a general dentist with a particular interest in how the airway, the jaw and sleep fit together. She asks about snoring and sleep, looks at your airway and bite, and tells you when to see a physician first.

Where a physician has diagnosed sleep apnea and recommends an oral appliance, she makes and fits it, adjusts it and sends follow-up notes back to your physician. She does not diagnose sleep apnea.

Working With Your Physician

A sleep appliance is one part of a plan your physician owns. Dr. Salas confirms the diagnosis and the recommendation, fits the appliance, and reports to your physician on how it fits and what you notice at each follow-up.

Areas of Focus

  • Airway and Bite Screening

Questions and a look at your airway and bite, to decide whether to refer you.

  • Oral Appliances

Made after your physician's diagnosis and recommendation.

  • Follow-Up Visits

Adjustments, and notes sent back to your physician.

  • Referral to Your Physician

When snoring or sleepiness may be a medical matter, we say so.
